Lisianthus

Overview

Annual garden flower with large gentian-like bell- shaped flowers with flaring pale purple petal-like lobes. They bloom in summer from the upper leaf axils. Long-lasting flowers with four wide ruffled, delicate petals and oval leaves.

Water

Keep plants consistently moist but not soggy. Irrigation timing can be challenging with this plant.

Let soil dry out before watering again.

Light

Thrives in full sun. Requires at least 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight. If you're in an area with hot summers, partial shade will be beneficial. Consistent sunlight is best for the plant.

Soil

Raised beds and containers are ideal. Prefers soil rich in organic matter and is well-draining.
