Lithodora

 

Overview

A hardy groundcover with small star-shaped blue flowers. Medium maintenance and generally pretty pest resistant. Great for rock gardens, beds and borders. Lithodora blooms profusely in spring, and less frequently through the summer. Attracts butterflies.

Water

Water an inch each week. Make sure not to let the soil get soggy.

Light

Full sun to part shade. Give it partial shade in hotter regions.

Soil

Provide moderately rich, well-drained, acidic soil, preferably sand. The plant does not tolerate heavy clay soil.
