Who We Are
We are a leading wholesale supplier of high quality nursery plants for the California and Northern Nevada regions that spans over 140 acres and offers thousands of plant varieties with two facilities based in Morgan Hill and Gilroy, California.
Our portfolio of plants is continuously expanding as we work with international breeders to acquire the leading varieties and new genetics.
Family Owned and Operated
After World War II, Sam and Jean Kawahara and their two children started growing plants on a 2-acre plot in San Lorenzo, CA where they pioneered the reputation of quality and excellence. In the early 80s, the narrative of Kawahara Nurseries expanded as sons David and John transplanted their vision to Morgan Hill, California. This pivotal move not only broadened the physical landscape but also diversified the nursery's offerings. Premium annuals, perennials, succulents, vegetables, and herbs became integral components of their ever-growing product selection. Under the guidance of David’s sons, Josh and Andrew, and John’s daughters, Sami and Megan, and son-in-law, Clinton, the nursery continues to evolve. Today, Kawahara Nurseries stands with multiple generations of family members and 300+ employees.
