Moss

Overview

Primitive plant that has no roots, and thrives in shady moist environments. Can be planted between paving stones, or as soil cover in larger containers and landscapes.

Water

Moss requires high moisture and high humidity because it lacks roots and a vascular system. Requires constant moisture.

Soil

Prefers firmly packed soil that the moss can attach too, but it doesn't have roots to penetrate it.
