Liriope

Overview

Grass like perennial that will spread out into a ground cover with brightly colored flower spikes in late summer. Popular as ground cover, especially on slopes or along walkways. Drought tolerant.

Water

Drought tolerant plants once established. Apply water when soils dries down until established and then back off on supplemental irrigation except under very hot and dry conditions.

Light

Full to part sun, benefits from afternoon shade in hot climates.

Soil

Tolerant of most soils as long as it is well drained.
