Lewisia

Overview

Hardy perennial with a small crown of foliage and a tall spike of brightly colored flowers. Low maintenance and popular plant for rock gardens and other low water plantings.

Water

Drought tolerant plant but will produce more flowers with a touch of supplemental water in the hot and dry months. Does not tolerate standing water. Avoid getting water on the crown of the plant to prevent disease.

Light

Full sun.

Soil

Requires very well drained soil, prefers loose rocky and sandy soil.
