Ipomoea

Overview

Ipomoea indica is a vigorous, long-lived, tender perennial vine native to tropical, subtropical and warm temperate habitats throughout the world

Water

Ipomoea must be watered often, especially in case of elevated temperature. If you add mulch along the foot of it, the moisture will retain more so you won't have to water as frequently.

Light

The optimum amount of sun or shade each plant needs to thrive: Full Sun (6+ hours), Part Sun (4-6 hours), Full Shade (up to 4 hours).

Soil

Soil should have a pH 6 to 7.5; not too high in nitrogen or this will lead to straggly plants. Prefers moderately fertile, well-drained soil that is kept consistently moist until the plant is well established.
