Heuchera

Overview

A genus of semi-evergreen perennials that are popular for their tidy mounds of colorful foliage, often purple of bronze tinted, and their long, wands of tiny bell-shaped flowers appearing in spring until early summer.

Water

Water thoroughly once a week. Soil should be damp at about one inch below the surface. It is somewhat drought tolerant once established.

Light

It can be grown in a wide range of light conditions, from full sun to shade. For best blooms, you should give the plant 4-6 hours of direct sun.

Soil

Performs best in rich well-draining soil, but is tolerant of clay or rocky soils and salt. If you have heavy clay garden soil, amend it to improve the drainage before planting your new coral bells or plant them in a raised bed.
