Cineraria
Overview
Derived from a perennial senecio (Senecio cruentus) of the Canary Islands and having heart-shaped leaves and clusters of bright flower heads.
Water
Cineraria needs constant moisture but it still needs to breathe. Water well and frequently at the base of the plant, checking the soil to make sure it feels moist but not soggy.
Light
Performs best in filtered sunlight or partial shade conditions and it resents full sunlight. If grown as a short-lived indoor plant, however, it likes more light.
Soil
Cineraria plants require plenty of water and they thrive best in soil that is both well-drained and moist.
