Cilantro
Overview
Also known as the Coriander plant, this aromatic herb can reach 30 to 50 centimeters in height, producing many broad and flat leaves with slender stems. Popular as a finishing flavor accent in both raw and cooked savory dishes.
Water
Needs moist soil. Provide about an inch of water per week. If growing cilantro in containers, you may need to water more frequently and when temperatures rise.
Light
Grows best in full sun but can also thrive in partial shade. For indoor container gardens, bright indirect light is best.
Soil
Does well in airy, light, fast-draining soil with plenty of perlite or sharp sand mixed in to increase drainage. In a container, use a premium potting mix instead of a heavy garden soil.
