Aster
Overview
A late summer bloomer that provides nectar to bees and butterflies. They are in the daisy family and have bright colored mini petals around a yellow center.
Water
One inch of water each week and try to avoid getting water on the leaves. Once established, they require minimal watering.
Light
Thrives in full sun. Requires 6+ hours of sunlight.
Soil
Soil should be moist but well-drained, and loamy. Wet clay soil will lead to root rot and dry sandy soil will lead to plant wilt. Mix 2 to 3 inches of compost into the soil prior to planting.
