Overview

Classic spring flowers with brilliantly colored, cup shaped flowers. Flowers emerge from bulbs and in the right climate will come back year after year. Extremely popular plant for formal and cottage gardens alike.

Water

Once established plants only need occasional irrigation in the absence of rain. When foliage and flowers are growing water at least every other week. In the winter when plants are dormant do not apply supplemental water unless there are extended periods of drought, and then only lightly to avoid bulb rot.

Light

Full sun.

Soil

Plants prefer rich, well draining soil.
