Thyme
Overview
Thyme is a low maintenance herb with clusters of small leaves that is used in cooked dishes and as a garnish. This plant is robust and hardy and grows as a mound about 6 to 12 inches in height and 6 to 16 inches wide.
Water
Thyme thrives with very little watering. Only water every 10–15 days. It can also thrive in colder months as a hardy plant.
Light
Does best in full-sun and hot conditions.
Soil
Space plants 12 to 24 inches apart in fertile, well-drained soil with a pH around 7.0. You can improve the soil by mixing in several inches of aged compost or other rich organic matter.
