Primrose

Overview

Small, short lived, cool season perennials that are often grown as annuals. Plants form rosettes of lush green leaves and beautiful umbels of brightly colored flowers above the foliage. Very popular plant for winter and fall borders because of the unusually bright colors during the cool season.

Water

Plants prefer frequent and moderate irrigation to keep soil moist but never saturated. Avoid soggy soil.

Light

Part sun, especially morning sun with afternoon shade.

Soil

Prefer moist and fertile soil, but not soggy.
