Overview

Drought tolerant perennial shrub that is very hardy in harsh conditions. Produces delicate purple flowers on long spikes and attractive silver/grey foliage. It is a popular choice for low water gardens because of its extreme drought and heat tolerance.

Water

Extremely drought tolerant once established. Water deeply and semi-regularly until roots are established. After the first growing season it will likely not require supplemental water except in the hottest and driest conditions.

Light

Full sun.

Soil

Plants prefer sandy well drained soil. They do not tolerate clay or waterlogged soil.
