Nepeta

Overview

Herbaceous perennial with very fragrant foliage and beautiful spikes of flowers in the warm season. Has a sprawling habit and is therefore popular for informal plantings along walkways or naturalized plantings. Low maintenance and pollinator friendly.

Water

Drought tolerant once established. Water regularly during the first growing season, but once it is well established it will not need supplemental water except in the hottest and driest conditions.

Prefers rich but well drained soil, but tolerates most soil types.
