Overview

Perennial plant with beautifully arching stems that produce bell shaped dangling flowers. Trailing types are very popular plants for hanging baskets, while upright types are popular in containers or along borders and walkways. Particularly attractive to hummingbirds.

Water

Plants prefer consistent moisture. Do not let the soil dry down completely. Plants thrive in higher humidity so applying mulch and misting can help plants thrive in drier climates.

Part to full shade.

Soil

Plants prefer rich soil that retains moisture but does not become waterlogged.
