Erysimum

Overview

A woody-based herbaceous perennial subshrub in the mustard family that is typically cultivated as a biennial.

Water

Requires average watering until established. Water deeply and less often to prevent root rot. Soak the soil until water has penetrated to a depth of 6 to 7 inches (1' being better). With container grown plants, apply enough water to allow water to flow through the drainage holes.

Light

Prefers to be grown in full sun but will tolerate light or dappled shade.

Soil

Moist, well-drained soil is best for wallflowers. If you have heavy clay soil, add grit to the planting hole to improve drainage.
