Dipladenia

Overview

A genus of tropical South American tuberous perennial woody vines with large racemose flowers and milky sap.

Water

In the beginning stages, the plant needs sufficient water. Once established, watering every eight to 10 days is sufficient. In summer, the plant should be watered more frequently

Light

Dipladenia performs best in full sun and requires between six and eight hours of direct sunlight per day.

Soil

These plants require excellent drainage. In poor or heavy soil, add organic matter at planting time to improve drainage. Delphiniums love fertile, rich, moist soils.
