Chives

Overview

Chives are a grass like perennial herb with a mild onion flavor. The flowers are attractive to pollinators, and the grass like foliage is often used as a garnish on top of entres and salads.

While plants are pretty drought tolerant, for best foliage production for herb harvesting it is best to keep the soil well irrigated, but not soggy

Soil

Plants prefer rich, well drained, loamy and loose soil.
