Celery

Overview

Celery is a popular vegetable with crunchy stems and a mild flavor popular in many soups and stews and can also be eaten fresh. It is not heat tolerant and has a long growing period so it does require a prolonged cool season.

Water

Water regularly and keep soil evenly moist for best stem quality. It does not tolerate periods of drought at all.

Light

Full Sun, at least 6 hours, but benefits from shade in the hottest part of the day.

Soil

Prefers, rich, loose soil with plenty of organic matter.
