Overview

Shade loving plant grown mostly for interestingly colored foliage, but will produce small flowers. Popular plant for garden areas with deep shade.

Water

Plants prefer soil that is consistently moist but not saturated. Add mulch to maintain soil moisture, and water frequently but lightly.

Light

Part to Full Shade. Golden varieties need a little morning sun to develop full color.

Soil

Requires well drained soil, but is tolerant of most soil types.
