Geranium

Overview

The cultivated geraniums of the genus Pelargonium are herbaceous to woody, with thick fleshy leaves varying in shape from round to lobed to deeply cut.

Water

In general, water your geraniums 1–2 times per week. However, geranium watering needs can change depending on climate, weather, and other important factors. A zonal geranium in late summer will need more watering than perennial geraniums in winter.

Light

They need 4-6 hours of full sun a day, or perhaps longer in somewhat filtered light. South and west exposures are usually best.

Soil

Prefer loose soil with plenty of organic matter.
