Fuschia

Overview

Ornamental shrubs of the evening-primrose family having showy nodding flowers usually in deep pinks. The petals are bell-shaped and they open up.

Water

In containers, they need to be watered 2-3 times a week. Generally, Fuchsias should be watered when they dry out. In the ground, this may be only once or twice a week.

Light

Considered a shade plant but needs sufficient direct morning sun or filtered sun all day.

Soil

Prefers consistently moist (but not soggy) soil with a good ratio of organic matter. At the same time, the soil should be well-draining. For in-ground plants, amending with peat moss or compost before planting is a good idea.
