Overview

Tropical plant grown like an annual in most climates. Plant produces brightly colored flowers on glossy green leaves. Popular plant for patio containers and border plantings.

Water

Requires moderate moisture levels and prefers a dry down cycle. Ideally moderate water once a week.

Light

Full sun, can benefit from afternoon shade in very hot dry conditions.

Soil

Prefers well drained sandy but fertile soil, can tolerate most soil types as long as it is well drained.
