Caladium

Overview

Also called heart of Jesus, angel wings, or elephant ear, genus of about 14 species of tuberous herbaceous plants in the arum family (Araceae) native to the tropical New World.

Water

Caladiums need to be watered on a regular basis, especially during dry conditions.

Light

Caladium grown indoors needs medium light with protection from midday sun.

Soil

Plant caladium in a rich, well-drained soil in the garden or in potting mix for containers, such as a damp mix of soil and peat.
