Aeonium

Overview

A heat tolerant subtropical succulent with an upright habit. Best in patio pots and planter boxes. Shallow root systems make it less drought tolerant than other succulents. Plant will die after flowering.

Water

Shallow roots prefer light irrigation at medium frequency. Do not let it dry out completely, but do not saturate soil either.

Light

Full sun but benefits from afternoon shade in extremely hot and dry environments.

Soil

Prefers traditional potting media over succulent or cactus mixes due to shallow root system.
